Sink

You are a weight.

A noose,

tethered to stone

dragging

down

to the deepest

dark.

The struggle

I know

is futile.

So I will

sink,

let you

drown me.

There,

in the great

below,

carrion

for those

that dwell

beneath.

Flesh stripped,

bleached bone.

Consumed.

In time,

when I am

one

with the sea,

I shall float,

slowly,

towards

the light

of a new

sun.

Reborn.
